Why a prepared picture may not replace an SSC live photograph

Some recruitment notices require a fresh photograph captured directly through an official application portal or its linked camera workflow. An uploaded studio photograph is not a substitute when live capture is mandatory.

For SSC Selection Posts Phase XIV 2026, the published notice specified live photo capture and a separate uploaded JPEG signature of approximately 4 × 2 cm, 10–20 KB. This is a historical example and may differ from future SSC notices. Refer to the particular official notification on the relevant preset page.

Prepare compliant signatures using the signature studio, but follow the official camera instructions for live photographs. Do not attempt to present altered photographs as portal captures.
